Voice Memo Digest Privacy Policy

Voice Memo Digest is free to download, with an optional one-time Full Access in-app purchase. There is no subscription and no advertising.

Data Collection

Voice Memo Digest does not collect or receive personal data on servers operated by the developer, and the app has no account or sign-in.

Your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and to-do items are stored locally on your device in the app's own storage. The app does not upload them anywhere and does not use iCloud sync.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

The app asks for microphone access to record your voice memos and for speech recognition permission to transcribe them. Transcription is requested with Apple's on-device recognition, so audio is not sent off your device for transcription. You can revoke either permission in Settings at any time.

Summaries and To-Do Items

Summaries and to-do items are generated on your device, using Apple's on-device language model when Apple Intelligence is available, or simple rules otherwise. Your transcripts are not sent to the developer or to any third party for this.

Widget and Siri

The app shares the title of your latest memo and your memo count with the home screen widget through Apple's App Group storage on your device. The Siri and Shortcuts action that lists your to-dos returns the text of your open to-dos to Siri or the shortcut you run. Where that text goes next depends on the shortcut you build; the app itself does not send it anywhere.

Purchases

Full Access is bought through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Payments are handled by Apple; the developer does not receive your payment details.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Voice Memo Digest contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs, and it does not track you.

Sharing

If you share your to-do list, the text is passed to the app you choose in the iOS share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you do so.

Deleting Your Data

Deleting Voice Memo Digest from your device removes its recordings, transcripts, summaries, and to-do items from that device. Copies included in your own device backups (for example iCloud Backup) are managed by Apple under your backup settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here.
