PCOSTrack Privacy Policy

PCOSTrack stores your symptom, diet, and insulin resistance records on your device and does not operate a developer server for app data.

Data Stored in the App

PCOSTrack lets you record PCOS-related symptoms, meals and food entries, cycle information, and the app's insulin resistance score calculated from the data you enter. These records are stored locally on your device using CoreData.

Developer Data Collection

PCOSTrack does not send your symptom, diet, or health records to a developer-operated server. The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Accounts

PCOSTrack does not require a user account.

Apple Health Integration

PCOSTrack can read and write Health data (such as weight, cycle tracking, or symptom data you choose to share) through Apple HealthKit, only after you grant permission in the iOS Health permissions dialog. Health data accessed through HealthKit is used only on your device to support the app's tracking and scoring features and is not sent to any server operated by PCOSTrack. You can review or revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Food Search (USDA FoodData Central)

When you search for a food item to log a meal, PCOSTrack sends only the text of your search query to the USDA FoodData Central API, a public nutrition database operated by the United States Department of Agriculture, in order to retrieve nutrition information. No personal information, device identifiers, or health data is included in this request.

Notifications

PCOSTrack may request local notification permission for logging reminders. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings.

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. PCOSTrack does not receive or store your payment card information.

Health Notice

PCOSTrack is a personal tracking tool and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The insulin resistance score is calculated from self-reported data for informational purposes only and is not a medical diagnosis. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding PCOS management and treatment decisions.
