Travel Itinerary AI Planner Privacy Policy
Travel Itinerary AI Planner (Shioriai) is free to download, with an optional one-time Full Access in-app purchase. There is no subscription and no advertising.
Data Collection
The app does not collect or receive personal data on servers operated by the developer. There is no account, and the app does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs. The app does not track you.
The app does not request or use your device’s location, and it does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or Apple Health data. It does not read your photo library or your calendar.
Data You Enter and Where It Is Stored
Your trips (titles, destinations, dates, and the destination for each day), itinerary events (titles, places, days and times, notes, and links), packing lists, expenses and budgets, and attachments are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data, including attachments, is also synced through your private iCloud (CloudKit) database so that it appears on your other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. The data is stored and managed by Apple and is not accessible to the developer. If iCloud is unavailable, the app does not sync the data. It is kept in the app's storage on this device, and it can be included in your device backups (for example, iCloud Backup or a computer backup), which are managed by Apple or by you.
A summary of your upcoming events (up to 40 events, each with its title, place, time and trip name) is shared between the app and its Lock Screen widget, Widget, and Live Activity on the same device using Apple's App Group storage.
Attachments
You can attach photos and files (for example, booking documents and boarding passes) to a trip. Photos are chosen with the system photo picker, so the app receives only the photos you select and does not read the rest of your photo library. Files are chosen with the system file picker. A copy of each attachment is saved with the trip as described above.
Maps and Weather
When you open the map for a trip, the places of your events, together with the trip’s destination, are sent to Apple through Apple’s MapKit search service to find their locations, and the locations are sent to Apple’s MapKit directions service to estimate the travel time and distance between consecutive events. These results are only shown on screen and are not saved.
When you add packing items from the weather forecast, the trip’s destinations are sent to Apple’s geocoding service to find their locations, and those locations and the trip dates are sent to Apple WeatherKit to get the forecast. The forecast is only used to suggest items and is not saved.
These requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. They are not sent to the developer.
Calendar
If you choose to add a trip to your calendar, the app asks for permission to add events only (write-only access). It then adds each event’s title, place, time, note and link to your default calendar. The app cannot read your existing calendar events. You can deny or revoke this permission in Settings at any time.
Sharing and Importing
You can share a trip as text, export it as a CSV file, and share or print a packing list. These are sent only to the app or printer you choose with the system share sheet.
You can add events from pasted text or links, or send text and links to the app with the Share button in other apps. Shared text and links are passed from the share extension to the app through App Group storage on the same device and are processed on your device. When importing, the app does not open or download the links. A saved link is opened in your browser only when you tap it in the trip.
On-device AI
With Full Access, itinerary drafts can be generated by Apple's on-device model (Apple Intelligence) on supported devices, using the destination and trip length you entered. The app does not send this to any server operated by the developer or to any external API.
Purchases
Full Access is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through StoreKit. The developer does not receive your payment information.
Deleting Your Data
You can delete trips, packing items, expenses and attachments inside the app. Itinerary events cannot be deleted one by one; deleting a trip removes all of its events, packing items, expenses and attachments. Deleting the app removes the data stored in the app's own storage on the device. Copies you have shared or exported to other apps or files (for example, a CSV file or trip text) and existing device backups are not removed by deleting the app; delete them in the app or place where you saved them. When you open an attachment, the app writes a temporary copy of it to the app's temporary folder on your device so it can be shown; deleting the attachment or the trip does not remove this copy. iOS can clear the app's temporary folder, and deleting the app removes it. Data synced to iCloud can be removed in iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Storage (or Manage Account Storage, depending on your iOS version). Events you added to your calendar are not removed by the app; you can delete them in the Calendar app.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here.
