Privacy Policy

📦 Data Storage

Medication records, schedules, and health-related data are stored in the app's local container using Apple's Core Data framework and are not sent to Small App Works.

• No app-managed cloud sync; data may be included in an Apple device backup according to your device settings
• No backup to CarePill servers — we operate no servers
• Deleting the app removes its local data from that device; Apple manages any device backups separately
• App preferences (e.g., onboarding completion) are stored locally using UserDefaults

🚫 Data We Do NOT Collect

CarePill does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number)
• Health or medication data — this stays on your device only
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or any advertising ID)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports sent to third-party services
• Any information whatsoever

📡 No Analytics or Tracking

CarePill contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking libraries, and no third-party frameworks of any kind. The app makes no network requests for telemetry or data collection purposes.

• No Firebase, no Amplitude, no Mixpanel, no Crashlytics
• No advertising networks or attribution tools
• No A/B testing or remote configuration services

🔔 Push Notifications

CarePill uses local notifications to remind you to take your medications. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter framework.

• Notifications are generated locally — no remote push server is involved
• No APNs (Apple Push Notification service) token is registered or transmitted
• Notification content is derived solely from the data you enter locally

Notification titles and bodies can include the patient name, medication name, and dosage. iOS may show this content on the Lock Screen depending on your notification preview settings.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings > Notifications > CarePill.

💳 Subscriptions and Payments

CarePill offers an optional subscription via the App Store. All subscription management, billing, and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit 2.

• CarePill never sees, receives, or stores your payment information
• No credit card numbers, Apple ID credentials, or financial data passes through CarePill
• Subscription status is verified locally via StoreKit 2's on-device transaction verification

To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad.

👶 Children's Privacy

CarePill does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected, the app is safe for users of all ages with respect to data privacy.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. We will notify users of material changes through an in-app notice or an App Store update description.

Continued use of CarePill after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
