Q How do I add a new medication?

Tap the + button on the Home screen to open the Add Medication sheet. Enter the medication name, dosage, and schedule. You can set multiple reminder times per day for the same medication.

Once saved, the medication appears in your list and reminders are automatically scheduled on your device.

Q Why am I not receiving medication reminders?

CarePill uses local notifications to send reminders. If you are not receiving them, please check the following:

  • Open Settings → Notifications → CarePill and ensure notifications are enabled
  • Make sure Allow Notifications is turned on and that alerts or banners are selected
  • Check that your device is not in Focus or Do Not Disturb mode, or that CarePill is added to the allowed apps in Focus settings
  • Verify that reminders are actually set for the medication in the app

If the problem persists, try deleting the medication and re-adding it to reschedule the notifications.

Q Can I back up or transfer my data to a new device?

CarePill stores all data locally on your device. There is no cloud sync or server-side backup. To move your data to a new device, use an iCloud Backup or an iTunes/Finder local backup of your current device, then restore that backup on your new device.

If you set up a new device without restoring from a backup, your medication data will need to be entered again. We recommend using iCloud Backup to protect against data loss.

Q How do I manage or cancel my CarePill subscription?

CarePill subscriptions are managed entirely through the App Store. To manage or cancel:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  • Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions
  • Find CarePill and tap it to view options
  • Tap Cancel Subscription to stop future billing

If you cancel, you will retain access to premium features until the end of the current billing period. CarePill does not process refunds directly — please contact Apple Support for billing inquiries.

Q Is my health data private? Is it shared with anyone?

Yes, completely private. All medication records and health data you enter in CarePill are stored only on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. CarePill does not connect to any server, contains no analytics or tracking SDKs, and transmits no data anywhere.

Your data is never shared with Small App Works, third parties, or any external service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Q How do I delete all my data or reset the app?

To delete all your data, simply delete CarePill from your device. All CoreData records, preferences, and notification schedules are permanently removed when the app is uninstalled.

To reset individual medications or history without uninstalling, use the in-app delete options (swipe left on a medication entry, or use the Edit button).
