Jikanwari-ai Privacy Policy

iCloud

When you are signed in to iCloud, your classes, assignments, and photos attached to assignments are synced between your devices through your private iCloud (CloudKit) database. This data is stored in your own iCloud account, is managed by Apple, and is not accessible to the developer. If iCloud is unavailable, the app does not sync and keeps the data on your device. Data on your device may be included in your device backups, as with other apps.

Apple Watch

If you have the Jikanwari-ai app on a paired Apple Watch, the app sends today's and tomorrow's classes (class name, room, period, and start and end times) to the watch through Apple's Watch Connectivity. The watch app stores this list on the watch to show it in the app and its complication. It is not sent to the developer or to any server of its own.

Photos and Text Recognition

If you use Full Access to add a class from a photo, you choose a photo with the system photo picker; the app does not request access to your whole photo library and does not use the camera. Text in the photo is read on your device with Apple's Vision framework, and, on devices that support it, organized into class fields with Apple's on-device Foundation Models. The app does not send the photo or the recognized text to the developer or to any server of its own. The class fields you save from it (such as class name, day, period, room, and instructor) are stored like your other classes and are synced through your private iCloud database as described above.

You can also attach up to 6 photos to an assignment, chosen with the system photo picker. The app resizes each photo and stores it with the assignment on your device; attached photos are synced through your private iCloud database as described above. They are not sent to the developer.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device to remind you of assignment deadlines and, if you turn on class reminders in Settings, of upcoming classes. They are not sent from a server.

Sharing and Exporting

You can share an image of your timetable, or a calendar file (.ics) containing your classes' names, times, rooms, and cancelled dates. They are sent only to the app or person you choose with the system share sheet, and that app or person keeps its own copy.

Purchases

The optional Full Access purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. The developer does not receive your payment information.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Jikanwari-ai contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs, and it does not track you. The app does not send your data to the developer.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete classes, terms (with their classes), assignments, and photos attached to an assignment in the app. Deleting an assignment also deletes its attached photos. Deleting the app removes the data stored in the app's own storage on your device. Removing the app from Apple Watch removes the class list stored on the watch. Copies you have shared or exported (for example, a timetable image, a calendar file, or events added to a calendar) and existing device backups are not removed by deleting the app; delete them in the app or place where you saved them. Data synced through iCloud can be removed in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
