Privacy Policy

📦 Data Storage

All letters, messages, and delivery dates you create in TimeCapsule are stored exclusively on your device. Your data never leaves your device.

• No cloud sync — data exists only on the device where it was entered
• No backup to TimeCapsule servers — we operate no servers
• If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed from your device
• App preferences are stored in UserDefaults, on-device only

🚫 Data We Do NOT Collect

TimeCapsule does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number)
• Your letters or messages — these stay on your device only
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or any advertising ID)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports sent to third-party services
• Any information whatsoever

📡 No Analytics or Tracking

TimeCapsule contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking libraries, and no third-party frameworks of any kind. The app makes no network requests for telemetry or data collection purposes.

• No Firebase, no Amplitude, no Mixpanel, no Crashlytics
• No advertising networks or attribution tools
• No A/B testing or remote configuration services

🔔 Local Notifications

TimeCapsule uses local notifications to alert you when a time capsule letter is ready to be opened. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter framework.

• Notifications are generated locally — no remote push server is involved
• No APNs (Apple Push Notification service) token is registered or transmitted
• Notification content is derived solely from the delivery dates you set locally

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings > Notifications > TimeCapsule.

💳 Purchases and Payments

TimeCapsule is a one-time purchase via the App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple.

• TimeCapsule never sees, receives, or stores your payment information
• No credit card numbers, Apple ID credentials, or financial data passes through TimeCapsule
• There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions

👶 Children's Privacy

TimeCapsule does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected, the app is safe for users of all ages with respect to data privacy.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. We will notify users of material changes through an in-app notice or an App Store update description.

Continued use of TimeCapsule after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
