Tap the + button on the main screen. Write your message to your future self, choose a delivery date, and tap Lock. Your letter will be sealed until the chosen date arrives.
Once locked, the letter appears in your list with a countdown showing how much time remains until it can be opened.

No. Once a letter is locked, its contents cannot be edited. This is by design — the experience of reading your unaltered past thoughts is what makes time capsules meaningful.
If you need to start over, you can delete the locked letter and create a new one.
Swipe left on any letter in the list and tap Delete. This permanently removes the letter and any associated notification. Deleted letters cannot be recovered.
TimeCapsule stores all data locally on your device. There is no cloud sync or server-side backup. To preserve your data when switching devices, use an iCloud Backup or an iTunes/Finder local backup, then restore on the new device.
If you set up a new device without restoring from a backup, your letters will need to be recreated.
Yes, completely private. All letters and data you enter in TimeCapsule are stored only on your device. TimeCapsule does not connect to any server, contains no analytics or tracking SDKs, and transmits no data anywhere.
